Tai-chi, controlled resistance training and walking are just some of the fitness activities available at The Residences. The fitness centre and fully equipped gymnasium are available for weekly group classes or for residents to use individually in their own time. Our highly qualified fitness instructor knows how to motivate residents to move well, instruct them in preventing injury and assist them in getting the most out of their workouts. They can also tailor a personalised program to suit you and your lifestyle.
Our own in house “gold class” cinema provides access for residents to watch latest release movies, TV series and major sporting events on the big screen. Movie screenings are held twice weekly, and residents are welcome to book the cinema for private use with family and friends.
‘Room 52′ at The Residences is a hive of activity with regular Bridge, Mah-jong sessions and scrabble tournaments. You may prefer to sit down to a game of chess or quietly chip away at the 1,000-piece jigsaw and other popular pastimes.

Our Arts and Crafts room are the hub of the artistic community here at The Residences. Residents can engage in painting, drawing, sculpture and pottery at their leisure or attend one of the organised art classes held regularly. The Annual Art & Craft show provides the opportunity for residents to hold an exhibition to display their works to the broader community, their friends and family. Many beautiful pieces have been produced and traded by fine artists at The Residences over the years.
The Residences workshop is fully equipped with a range of machinery and tools for residents to hone their carpentry skills, and create wood and metalwork items.
At our beauty salon and hairdresser residents can enjoy a luxurious facial, manicure or a new hairstyle. Alternatively, these services can be brought to you in the comfort and privacy of your own home. (User pays service that incurs additional costs).
Residents are fortunate to have the Castle Cove Library located on the premises. Operated by Willoughby Council, the Library stocks over 6,000 items with collections including fiction, non-fiction and AV material for adults and young children. The Community Room is also a regular meeting place for active book club members, literary groups and presentations from a diverse range of community groups.
Enjoy the peaceful serenity of our professionally landscaped gardens. Residents can meander through the gardens with rest areas and seats positioned at each feature point along the way. There is a wide variety of flora and fauna displaying vivid colour during the spring and autumn periods. For our garden lovers there are dedicated vegetable and herb gardens along with bay leaf, lemon and lime trees available for picking by our residents.
